Are you tired of replacing your cheap blender? I know I was. For years, I always bought the cheapest blender and was purchasing a new one every year. Then, one day I was fed up. I originally saw the blender at an exhibit at Costco and thought, WOW that is so expensive. My husband reminded me that we have spent more than the cost over the past few years, so we invested in a Vitamix and we were not disappointed. I have used different versions of the Vitamix over the years, but this one is my absolute favorite.
Every morning looks the same in terms of what I eat. I have a nutritious smoothie or vegetable juice which is so easy to prepare and I am able to take in more fruit & vegetables to start my day right. It has a 64 oz container which allows you to create a decent size of your favorite Vitamix recipe. The Vitamix mix 12000 is a commercial grade, 2 horsepower blender that drives a blade up to 240MPH. It creams, chops, churns, and even heats all within a single unit. It is sheer power and in I am going to be walking you through some of my personal “favorite” aspects of the Vitamix 1200 within this review.
Sure it’s a pricey blender, but the investment is worth it.
I used to buy smoothies from the grocery store or smoothie shop. One smoothie could cost me up the $9, which adds up very quickly. On average, I used to spend over $100 per month on smoothies and realized I could make it at home to save time and money. Here is a sample shake that I made just the other day in my Vitamix. I of these things (and much more) can be done with raw ingredients in the Vitamix 1200 and you can literally liquefy pretty much anything into a healthy, delicious drink and do so for much cheaper.
It’s Not Just for Smoothies
Peanut Butter. Guacamole. Unbelievable Baby food. Salsa. Ice cream. Protein Shakes. Pasta Sauces. Bread dough. And Even Soup! Yeah, the friction from this high-powered blender actually will not only blend up beautiful tasting soups, it will heat them up so they are ready to serve. From Vegetables and spices to a healthy soup in less than 10 minutes, although I never use this feature. There are so many things far beyond just smoothie making that you can whip-up in your Vitamix E310 and those are just some more common ones. There are a lot of recipes online where you can actually watch people with their Vitamix (check out YouTube), put together their favorite recipes and walk you through them. The Vitamix website also has a number of recipes that you can follow. In addition, the product comes with a cookbook, that I find helpful. So it is great for smoothies, but it can offer you ideas for every meal throughout the day, including deserts!
Cleaning Up is so Easy
To put things into perspective, this is the 3 step process of cleaning up. Step 1: Put in a “drop” of dish soap and warm water Step 2: Run Vitamix on high for 30 seconds Step 3: Flip upside on towel to dry It really is as simple as that. And after a lot of use and blending all sorts of foods, one thing that I do to keep mine clean of any residue is to occasionally run some vinegar with water through it for 30 seconds. Cleans it up brand new. It really is low maintenance and there is never a need to have to fumble around with putting it in the dishwasher.

I am a believer in this product and I know many others who absolutely LOVE their Vitamix. One drawback is the upfront costs to invest in a blender of this quality, but you do get what you pay for in this case. It comes backed with a 7-year warranty and it is not a throwaway like the $50 blenders tend to come. For the sake of your health, eating foods that don’t come out of a box or a package and are raw ingredients are only going to do your health a favor…plus your taste buds.
